What Causes Acid Reflux And Nausea After Taking Valsartan?

I have been taking edarbi for years until my co pay went to $165 from $75. Doctor gave me IC Valsartan 80mg. which I ve been taking for about 3 weeks. I find it upsets my acidity and feel shaky/nauseous in the afternoons. I stopped taking it and feel very shaky. Is there withdrawal from these medications. I am just seeing a new Primary after mine retired after many years with him. Connections not made solid with him yet. Also am diabetic...glucose checking is okay when I have these symptoms.

Hi,

I don't think stopping valsartan can have withdrawal symptoms. It should not be stopped suddenly because may give high blood pressure. Consult a doctor before stopping it to give you another antihypertensive drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
