What Causes Acidity, Heartburn And Abdominal Cramps Post Embryo Transfer?

I underwent embryo transfer 8 days back. Since last 3 days i am feeling severe acidity and heartburn and menstrual like cramps since the following day of embryo transfer. I am 30 years old. Could you please guide me this is a good sign or i may start my period?

Hello,

The gastric upset with heart burn and abdomen cramps are seemingly in concern with
- Hyper secretion of stomach acid
- Underlying stress and anxiety
- Side effects of certain hormone medicines given for maintenance of pregnancy
- Dietary habit related

However, an ultrasound scan is needed to get confirmation of any unusual event in the uterus.

Till the time being period, you can ask your doctor whether you can take Proton pump inhibitor medication or antacid as syrup mylanta or others during this therapy period.
