Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have occasional cysts or large pimples in my groin area (to the sides of my labia majoria) it happens during times of stress ie premenstrual, but not very often, detox from alcohol vertically ensures it, and they will drain (after an extremely painful start the drain process/lancing) for 5-8 weeks (with pressure maintenance)... but OBGYN refers me to dermatology and dermatology says just some people are susceptible to this... take bleach baths. Tests from labs show negative for Staph, etc.. What do I do?
hi madam, Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
Few areas of the body are as sensitive as the female genital area. Vaginal pimples aren’t usually a serious condition. But they can be a source of great discomfort.
Topical medications can treat vaginal pimples caused by contact dermatitis. And antihistamines can treat severe allergies.
Tips for prevention:- 1. Avoid tight-fitting clothing that can cause friction. 2. Choose underwear made of cotton rather than synthetic materials. 3. Try not to touch pimples too much. 4. Avoid very hot water when bathing or showering. 5. Skip the bubble bath and scented soaps. 6. Ask your doctor which menstrual products are safe to use.
hope this was helpful. have a healthy day.
