What Causes Acne-like Bumps All Over Scalp?

hello, I have been getting large amounts of small to medium sized acne looking bumps all over my scalp. I remember working out in the sun for 10 hours and getting a really nasty sunburn, about two days later, I got these oozing blisters on my scalp that would literally ooze out forever. Once that healed up, I started getting small red bumps on my scalp that were really itchy and get itchier everyday, what can it be and how can I get rid of it...???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
What has happened to your scalp is exacerbation of eczema due to sun burn on exposure to long duration of sun.
Kindly do the following to overcome your problems.
1. Use Ketoconazole shampoo alternate day for 1 month.
2. Use shampoo containing coal tar and salicylic acid twice a week for 1 month.
3. Use Selenium and zinc containing shampoo once a week for a month.
4. For bumps and blisters, apply Neomycin cream at night time.
Your symptoms will gradually reduce and you should feel better.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
