What Causes Acute Tiredness And Confusion After Taking Synthroid?
Ok. 56 yr old woman . high unstable BP. Hypothyroid. RA. Reynaund Syndrome. Hep c untreated. Only med is synthroid 88 mcg. Why fatigued and confused all the time. Also insomnia since 35.oops forgot cyst on pacreas and weird and rare tumor benign on left lung and nonfunction left adrenal gland. Ruptured eardrum this past march
* As per my clinical experience, the intake of synthroid is not responsible for the acute tiredness and confusion, but there are various possibilities as:
- auto immune response with various antibodies for thyroid, arthritis or Raynaud syndrome
- low functioning of liver with altered liver functions
- inflammatory response to present or past inflammation
However, if any of the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up discussion for better evaluation and guidelines accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
