What Causes An Indentation On Forehead Of A Child After An Injury?

Hi, My 2-years old boy fell 6 months ago. There were no neurological complications, just a bruise at the forehead. After the resolving of this bruise, I noticed that there is a minor depression in the frontal skull bone; I asked an orthopedic doctor who told me that this depression will disappear and the skull structure will be restored within a maximum of 6 months because of the growing bones of the skull, which did not happen. I wonder if the indentation in my kid s skull will disappear.

Hello,

Usually, it should have disappeared by this time and your surgeon had been right.
Can you upload an image here of the indentation so that I can see and get back.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sumanth Amperayani, Pediatrician, Pulmonology
