What Causes Anal Bleeding, Lot Of Gas, Abdominal Pain After Hemorrhoids Removal?
Hi, I had my hemorrhoids removed January 2011 and in the last month or so I have seriously been suffering from anal bleeding, I notice the bleeding after wiping myself. I normally have a bowel movement once or twice a day but lately it has been once every 2 days, sometimes with a lot of gas and abdomen pain.
Bleeding is unusual after removal of hemorrhoids. Hence, the features are suggestive of a different underlying condition, such as, intestinal infection, diverticulitis or Colitis.
Take a 5 days' course of Metronidazole. If the symptoms persist, get a Colonoscopy done, which will reveal the exact cause of bowel problems.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drug in appropriate doses.
If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
