Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As you already have a recent history of
constipation, pain at the anal opening that is appearing like needle pinched can be due to either of the two common causes:
- One is Hemorrhoids
- Other one
Anal fissure.
Consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and anoscopy can be done for diagnosis. In case if piles is confirmed then you can be advised:
-Application of steroid and numbing ointment.
-Sitz bath that is sitting in warm water tub especially after bowels.
-High fibre diet along with laxatives like
Polyethylene glycol and stool softeners like Docusate to
maintain proper bowels.
-Avoid spicy food and drink plenty of water.
If anal fissure is diagnosed then you can be advised to apply topical anaesthetics like Lignocaine gel.
Calcium channel blocker containing ointments like Diltizem can be advised as it will dilate the blood vessels in the area and improve blood flow that will initiate healing along with sitz bath and stool softeners.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
