What Causes Anxiety?

Hello im 25 and I used to suffer allot of anxiety and panic attacks however i went to counselling and did not have them for a while. I keep feeling queezy, dizzy, my eyes feel funny - almost blurred, much faster heartbeat and random sharp pains in my head... could this be the panic attacks coming back or something else?

Thank you

Psychiatrist 's  Response
hi..thanks for writing..

yeah, it can be panic attacks and anxiety. it starts suddenly reaches to the peak within 10 minutes and then subsides within next 10 minutes..

initially it is without any stressor but gradually it can become associated particular situation..during attacks person may feel that he is about to die or going crazy, feels impeding doom..

if the symptoms are severe, then counseling alone wont work. you have to visit a psychiatrist and take anti-anxiety drugs which will control it and then you can attend your counselling.after few months drugs will be withdrawn and you will be maintained by counseling alone..

i hope this advice will be helpful to you..best of luck..
