What Causes Arrhythmia Of The Heart At The Age Of 69?
female 69 years of age had abration done 2 years ago , 4 days ago arythmia came back lost concious that night my huband took me to emerg stayed 2 nights , regular heart beat came back after they took me of all drugs except crestor and a blood presur pill once a day trouble now is that around 10 pm 2 nights now slight arythmia with jaw pain and headache then spray nitro and take 2 aspirins slowley heart goes back to regular rythm and jaw pain subsides anything i can do?
Hi nitoglycerine and asprin are not antiarrythmic drugs hence if your arrythmia settles down on using them ,it indicates that the faulty rythms are because of compromised blood supply to the heart, as blood supply is compromised hence using nitroglycerine restores the blood supply and arrytmia settles down.
coronary artery disease (blockage) appears to be a cause of arrythmia in your case advise 2d echo and tread mill test to rule out compromised blood supply to the heart.
