General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thanks for putting up your query.
I can understand the pain you go through.
Yes,tramadol is a kind of narcotic analgesic. It is a habit forming drug causing dependance and addiction.
If I were your treating doctor,I would recommend,
-Tramadol or any other anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen for 5-7 days along with antacids.
-Cold compression around joints .
-Local application of diclofenac gel.
-Follow some muscle strengthening exercises.
-Balanced diet including dark green leafy vegetables, dairy products daily.
If the symptoms persists or worsens, visit to orthopaedician for further diagnostic tests and management.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks and regards.
