Hi, I have abnormal results in my ENG inluding a big assymetry between hte ears, left worse. I am waiting for my report, but I would be very curious to know if the abnormal rotary chair testing (one of the abnormal results) mean a deffect in the otolithic organs or the canals... I have confirmed Menier s desease, with several damage, the cochlea as well. I have bad recruitment too, but the most damaged part is the balance, especially left ear. for the cochlea function, the left is slightly worse only. Thanks!
The assymetry between the ears could indicate possible different degree inner ear damage (otolithic organs) in both ears. Meniere Syndrome is the cause of such difference between ears (different level of endolymph pressure).
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
