What Causes Auditory Hallucinations While On Lorazepam For Depression?
While taking lorazepam I was bumped up(by my psychologist) to 10 mgs per day due to my depression and anxiety. I told him I was hearing things like people talking but not understanding and constantly asking What was that? and or Did you say something? . He told me that will pass. My paranoia level at this time was crazy. How bad and how long does this stuff effect those who have taken lorazepam? Also, what other side effects could there be at that Evel?

Auditory hallucinations may be a side effect of Lorazepam. You should immediately report to your treating doctor. Either the dose of Lorazepam needs to be monitored with you under observation or your doctor should prescribe you some other medications (antipsychotics).
You need to visit your GP & also a Psychiatrist. Get physically examined, get all blood tests, Imaging tests are done to assess the degree of pathology that is affecting you so as to cause auditory hallucinations.
Stay away from stress, anxiety & negative emotions as they may trigger certain symptoms that may affect you. Your treatment will depend upon the degree of the pathology you are suffering from.
