What Causes Bad Odor From My Child's Nose After Using A Nasal Spray For Nose Bleed?

Hi my name is shavonne and my son who is 3 has a nose bleed in his left nostril. Its been bleeding on and off for about he week and a half. His doctor said she dont see anything major and prescribe a nasal spray but lately his nose been having a bad odor. Can u tell me why his nose smell so bad. Not to be funny but it smells like poo.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

There are various conditions which can give rise to such problem. One is a foreign body in the nose. Over use of nasal sprays can also be a cause for such problem. There is a one condition where in there is a very bad odour from the nose. I suggest you should consult your ENT specialist for a physical examination and further management.
