What Causes Bad Odour From Vagina During Menstruation And Intercourse?

Hi. About a year ago I had BV and got the necessary antibiotics (cream) to treat it, but now after every period or every time I have sex I get a very foul odor within a couple of days. I douche with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide/water for a couple of days after and then once or twice a week after just to upkeep and that works, but I don t want to be doing this for the rest of my life. Is there a chance the BV wasn t actually taken care of with the antibiotics or could it be my diet (which hasn t changed in years)? It s just getting old and becoming a nuisance.

Bad odour after menstruation or intercourse can be due to vaginitis Diet has nothing to do with it. If i have to treat such s patient i will advice to go for vaginal smear testing. It is foul smelling may be it bacterial infection. If i have to treat i will advice vaginal tab containg clindamycin, miconazole, metronidazole, cap doxycycline 100mg twice a day, tab metronidazole 400 twice a day, tab fluconazole 150 weekly, tab azithromycin 2gm stat once only, other treatment for 14 days. Rest after the reports..Your husband to have to take treatment at same time.
