What Causes Bitter Taste In Mouth And Sore Throat After Mastopexy?
I had a mastopexy with augmentation on Saturday and upon waking my throat was extremely sore and since have experienced an unpleasant bitter tast in my mouth every time I eat or drink something. It is so depressing that my favourite foods taste awful. I have been on antibiotics and thought it was those but I finished these yesterday and the taste is still there, help?
Mastopexy must have been done under intubation general anesthesia. It is possible that you acquired infection hence getting the symptoms as mentioned. I would advise you to consult your doctor for examination, investigations if required and get started with antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antihistamine. Go for regular follow up and get investigations done for throat swab, tests of blood. I hope this will help you to recover well.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
