What Causes Black Tongue And Stomach Discomfort After Taking Xarelto?
Hi, my doctor recently changed my medication to a new one . Medication I use to take was warfarin and now I take xarelto but i am have couple issues with that new medication xarelto . My tongue gets black and now my stomach feels weird and bloated at times and now my stool is black so can you tell me is this an serious issue I have to look into .
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain black discolouration of tongue and stool along with bloating after taking the new medication that is Xarelto can be due to side effect of medication while black discolouration can be due to the discolouration caused with the edible colourant/ dye used to colour the pills..
But still you need to get a clinical evaluation done by your treating physician so that the exact cause can be confirmed..
In case if needed the drug can be replaced...
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
