What Causes Bleeding And Blood Clots During Pregnancy?

Hi, I first started bleeding and loosing what I thought was pieces of my mucus plug when I was 34 weeks it stopped a little but now that I m 37 weeks it has started back and I have been having lower back and belly pains but nothing that feels like contractions. Now the blood is a lot darker and there are bigger pieces of clots and at my last doctors visit I was told my cervix was still closed but my pelvis was swollen. I can feel my baby girl move so im not freaked out too much rite now im just hoping its the start of labor. Should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ma'am! Thank you for writing us here.
In she patients it is a complaint which brings them to the OPD. It possibly could be a mucus plug or remains clots and also I'm suspecting your delivery to be in coming weeks. Your little angel must be eager to see you and rest of the world I guess :) don't worry okay? You can go for an ultrasound for your satisfaction. My regards to the little one because she might be quite excited to see her mama.
best regards
Dr Gunjan
