Hello I am 23 I was on the depo shot , I first got my shot on Feb 2014 and decided to stop it on Nov 2014 I was suppose to go back on February 2015 for my next shot but didn t because I want to conceive, I got my period august 21st 2015 and it stopped august 27th now this morning I started bleeding again ? Is it normal?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Bleeding soon after a week after your periods with history of previously being on depo shots indicates that it could be due to hormonal imbalance. It might take some time for estrogen and progesterone hormone to reach basal normal levels. In any case, kindly get your blood checked for FSH and LH levels. Depending on the result, you may require medications to regulate the periods back to normal. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate management. Nothing much to be worried about. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
