General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Well, blood taste is not indicative of anything unless assisted by investigations, in fact it may indicate some problem with your taste sensation related nerve or local oral problems.
- Recurrent bleed with history of boxing in past should be well invested as follows to get an exact diagnosis so that a proper and specific management can be done
- CT scan of nose and sinuses
- Angiogram MRI
- Tests of blood like bleeding, time, clotting time, prothrombine time, platelet count
- Any other investigations as would be suggested by your doctors
- Nasal endoscopy helps many a times to know the cause and local management of any bleeding point if present can be managed by local cauterisation
- If needed the last resort would be to go for ligation of the supplying artery as this is now a common surgery

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
