What Causes Bloating After Meals And Food Getting Stuck?
Hi I'm 60 living in the uk. I was diagnosed with Achalasia two years ago when I had a barium study because of suspected hiatus hernia. At Xmas just gone I was under servere stress and suddenly after only experiencing mild bloating after meals I now seem to be going down hill fast. I feel uncomfortable in my mid chest and back area and food seems to hang about in my gullet. I am so frightened. I have seen my GP and a general surgeon but they seem totally diinterested because I can swallow and have had little to no real Achalasia symptoms in the past.
