What Causes Bloating, Lower Left Abdominal Discomfort And Loose Stools While Having Diverticulosis?
I have diverticulosis I have had it for years and think it might be flaring up to diverticulitis. Symptoms are bloating, lower left abdomen discomfort , loose stools that sometimes come on without warning and just a feeling of being rundown. Does this sound familiar?
Symptoms are in concern with the bout of segmental inflammation of the bowel with some bacterial or viral infection.
Suggested guidelines here are
- More liquids
- Bland diet with preference to fresh yogurt
- Prescription of GI specific antibiotic (as Metronidazole or Rifaximin), probiotics (as Lacto bacillus or Sacromyosis bullardie ) and other supportive measures.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
