Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Today is day 3 of an upset stomach for me. (I'm hoping for morning sickness...We've been trying to concieve for 16 mo. and I'm 2 days late) Yesterday around 7PM while going to the bathroom I noticed bloody mucus that came out as if a fart. This morning the same bloody mucus accompanied my stool. Should I be concerned?
Bloody mucous may be due to bacillary infection or amoebic dysentery. Also may be due to implantation pain and spotting lead to blood. Other possibilities are constipation with hard stools with hemorrhoids may lead to blood in stool.
Please confirm pregnancy by urine pregnancy test. Still symptoms persistent, please consult your physician, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
