General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand your concern. Blood in stool may not be due to doxycycline and prednisolone. Blood in stool may be due piles or any infection. Kindly let me know whether do you have fever, loose stools, abdominal pain and whether its bright red in colour or not?

Treatment mainly depends upon the condition. Kindly consult with a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
