What Causes Blood In Stools With History Of Colitis And Peptic Ulcer ?

Hi..My mum (69yrs) has suffered from bloody feces since 17 days ago..no wight loss ..she is very healthy though!..no tiredness..no fatigue..no even hypotension..her heart beats are very normal..she has got colonitis and peptic ulcer since more than ten years..she did the M2-PK feces analysis 5 days ago and the results were different..one of the labs got negative and after 5 days, she repeated the test in the same lab and the result was positive..another lab has got positive too..she will do colonoscopy this week..I am so worry about her..is that possible she will get colon cancer? I know that there is a chance of false positive results and there might be colonitis which does the same bloody stool of the colon cancer..but I want someone give me a hope..
