What Causes Blood In Urine While Suffering From BPH?
I m a 60 year old male. I have just started taking medication for BPH. Only in the morning I have some blood mixed in my urine. ( I assume it s blood because my urine is pinky to red.) The rest of the day my urine is a normal color. What can be causing this?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. Benign prostrate hyperplasia(BPH) is increase in size of the prostate. When it becomes sufficiently large,It compresses urethra and increase resistance to flow of urine. Symptoms include poor urinary flow, pain during urination, urinary retention, etc
Incomplete voiding results in stasis of bacteria in the bladder residue and an increased risk of urinary tract infection. Urinary bladder stones are formed from the crystallization of salts in the residual urine. This can cause bleeding when these stones pass and do injury the urethra. Life style modification like decreasing fluid intake before bedtime, moderating the consumption of alcohol and caffeine-containing products, and following a timed voiding schedule can help to reduce the sympyoms Consult a Urologist if problem persists
Hope this information helps
