Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi - I was taking benazepril for my high blood pressure for about 2 months now but I just recently quit taking it two weeks ago without consulting my dr because she's always so hard to get a hold of. I quot taking it because I started to go on a juice fast diet which only lasted for about three days, then continued to stop eating carbs. Right now I'm eating healthy on/off. Can I go back on my medication? My blood pressure flucuates betweeen 135/80-145/90. What do you think?
You need to modify your life style. Even just life style modification will help you out without using any medications as your BP is not quite high. So by life modifications I mean aerobic exercise, low fat and carbohydrate intake, quit smoking or alcohol intake if u are using it. If you need details of life style modification you can contact me any time.
Thanks. Regards, Dr. Majid Khan.
