What Causes Blue Color Penis To A 5 Month Baby?

Hi. My son is 5 months and is circumcised. about 20 min ago I changed his diaper and noticed that the head of his penis is discolored. blue in color. I am not sure what to think of this or what to do. I have called his pediatrician and left a message. But i am afraid something could be wrong. Should I take him to the hospital?

If it is a post surgical discoloration you should follow up at the hospital. Also if the discoloration and swelling is progressive it needs urgent evaluation.
