What Causes Blurred Vision After Suffering Head Injury?
Hi, I returned from an all boys stag holiday 2 days ago, i banged my head on one of the nights out and i'm a bit concerned. I do'nt feel dizzy but feel really tired, I have also seemed to lose my appetite also a bit blurry eyed, initially i just put this down to severe dehydration due to lots of sun and alcohol, but feel I should be rehydrated by now and just dont feel quite right.
Emergency Medicine Specialist, Dr. Tim Evans's Response
Hi. The tiredness and loss of appetite are likely, as you say, down to your recent lifestyle. However, given that you had a head injury - you don't go into the details of what actually happened - along with some blurring of your eyes, you should go and get checked out in your nearest Emergency Department in order to ensure that you haven't sustained either a significant head injury such as a cerebral contusion or subdural bleed, or alternatively, a retinal injury or detachment. I suggest you make this check up a priority.
