What Causes Blurred Vision And Abdominal Pain After Stopping Metformin?
I been on metformin for about 3 years til about 3 months ago and the dr change the medicine and never said why I was took ok metformin ...but I do get blurred vision, and have weaken bladder now and use the bathroom a lot.. also pain in my right side..often
Hello, i can understand your concern. You havenot mentioned your current blood sugar levels. I assume you are a diabetic and your doctor had given metformin for its control. Blurred vision, weakened bladder control can indicate complications of diabetes ie diabetic retinopathy and neuropathy respectively. Our primary goal would be to get blood sugars within normal limits by either insulin or oral medications. Get the following tests FBS, PPBS, HbA1C, Urea, creatinine, Urine for micro albumin and a fundus examination by an opthalmologist. Medications can be initiated accordingly.
