HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The pain may be due to
neuralgia which is nerve related pain. This can be 'shocking' in nature.
Other persons may have a burning, sticking,
tingling etc
There are different causes for neuralgia and you may need to consult your doctor to determine the cause for you.
Some causes are: (A) diabetes
(B) trauma to the area or nerves responsible for that area
(C)liver or
kidney disease
(D)nerve conditions such as
stroke, ms
(E)exposure to toxins
(F)infections such as shingles
(G)side effect of medication
(H)idiopathic- cause is not known
If it continues, you may need to see your doctor for an assessment which would include blood tests such as liver and kidney function,
complete blood count, screening for diabetes
I hope this helps
