Family member had dexamethasone injection yesterday into spine. Today has some chills but no fever. thoughts? Days prior to procedure were hot and humid, and possible mild dehydration as a result. Did pass out briefly during procedure-about 3 seconds.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Asad Riaz, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.
chilling can be multiple reasons like due GIT infection , RTI , drug reaction etc... usually steroids are given to a patient in case of drug reaction,so reaction to steroid is not very common...chilling can be due to infection at site of injection or some other reasons like infection etc.. if he/she was my patient I would like to have through exam n history n run n then do some test to rule out infection n then treat it accordingly...
I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.

Regards.

Dr.Asad Riaz.
