What Causes Body Pain And Sleeplessness During Menopause?

Don t know where to start! 49 year female and I seem to be falling apart. hot flashes, doc said menopause starting...They used a number of 31 from blood but have no idea what that means. body aches, sleeplessness...waking up with leg aches. back ache, upper back started yesterday for no reason. did not strain it. fatigue. I guess this is all normal with getting old? joint stiffness. oh, doc said I was positive for some arthritis thing...told me to let them know if it bothered me more. (I just went to female doc a couple weeks ago for checkup)

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Most of the symptoms which you are describing is pertaining to pre-menopausal symptoms.
Many women experience such symptoms on and off at a lower grade and for few, might cause some botheration.
Main reason why it would be happening is due to underlying hormonal changes that are happening.
The remedy which can be suggested to overcome them is only symptomatic as there is no specific treatment during this phase.
Kindly do the following to overcome them.
1. Take Calcium supplements everyday in the form of syrup or tablet. Also, consuming a glass of milk in the morning and bedtime along with would be helpful.
2. Take iron and multi-vitamin supplements everyday at bedtime.
3. Drink good quantity of fluids and citrus fruit juices to keep yourself well hydrated.
4. Exercise regularly to keep your bones and muscles fit and healthy.
Over a period of time, these symptoms should get better and recover well.
