What Causes Body Tremors And Slurred Speech While On Phenytoin And Carbatrol?

yes Hi how are you today?My question is that ive been taking Phenytoin for many yrs now and trying to find out more about it.Ive started to have some side effects with tremors, sleep,slurred speech etc. I also take Carbatrol,Keppra,Lyrica.which one of theses Medications should I try and cut down our get off to help with less side effects. I am checking in to the VNS procedure to help control seizures without taking so many meds.

Phenytoin causes all the side effects that you are suffering from. Also these are the side effects that occur after taking phenytoin for long duration. One can get rid of the side effects simply by reducing the dose (after consulting your doctor) and also we can for other alternate medicines with less side effects.
