Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sometimes when I wake from a nap I have a tremor or shaking sensation inside my body. Nobody can see it. Only I can feel it. It lasts only a minute or two then it s gone. Also what causes you to twitch when drifting off to sleep. I only do this occasionally.
I went through your details. Usually tremor or shaking is an external or physical disorder. Essential tremor is a condition that involves involuntary shaking of parts of the body, usually without any other symptoms.
Essential tremor is often mild and non-progressive but for some can be severe and affect daily activities like writing, eating and getting dressed. The condition can be mistaken for Parkinson’s disease so referral to a neurologist can assist with diagnosis. Please consult a neurologist before going into own conclusions or confusion.
