Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Aleve for a severe toothache. An extraction is scheduled for Monday. I am having terrible shaking feelings. It started last evening after being on Aleve every 6 hours for two weeks (soonest the dentist could get me in) I am wondering if this may be an affect of taking Aleve too long. Thank you for listening.
No, Aleve does not cause shaking or tremors, no such side effects reported. It could have been due to low blood pressure, anxiety, dehydration or electrolyte imbalance in your body. Take ORS, stay well hydrated.
Avoid taking Aspirin with Aleve (Naproxen) for they interact & cause adverse effects. Avoid alcohol & addictions if any. Do not take over doses. If you are sensitive to Aleve talk to your treating PCP, so that the medication can be changed for other that suits you better.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
General & Family Physician
