What Causes Body Tremors While On Risperdal In An Autistic Person?
I want to know physiologically what is happening to my son on Risperdal? He is a 27 yo with classical autism. He start have tremors at age 18 and sx of like a tic - no body really knows. By 18 mos ago he was having outbursts of anger while pinching himself and sometimes reaching out to others. This became unbearable even after several psychotropic med attempts. Finally I did not return to the neuropsyches and took him to his primary and he offered Risperdal as other families were having success. We started him on this a month ago. With the first dose - it was instant relief. He anger peaks its head now and then but very re-directable and mild. What s happening?
