My friend is shaking more than usual. It has just started a few hours ago. She has a history of shaking but never this noticibly. She does has slight tremor in voice. I am only concerned as this is first she has shaken so that it is apparent while reaching or holding something.
Shaking is an imbalance between muscle activity and brain funciton that lowers it. Parkinson's is a classic cause from a decline in brain inhibitory function.
Electrolyte abnormality can make the muscle more twitchy. Muscle or nerve damage can also increase twitching.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
