What Causes Bouts Of Diarrhea, Nausea, Fatigue And Weight Loss?

Hi, all my life I have had tummy troubles. They are getting worse as I get older. I am currently on a bout of severe diarrhoea, nausea, fatigue and weight loss which has currently lasted 8 weeks. I have a vitamin D deficiency and a very low amount of anti bodies. I can t leave the house without Imodium any more! I eat the best I can, but fruit and veg tend to trigger me even more. Any advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It may be best to see a gastroenterologist for assessment. With a history of prolonged gastrointestinal complaints, you may need imaging of the GI tract to find the exact cause of your symptoms. Blood tests may also be needed as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
