What Causes Breathlessness After Taking Losartan And Carvedilol?

I take carvedilol twice am & pm daily but with losartan in the am. I am winded and have shortness of breath when I go go up steps or walk fast. I believe it s the medication since I had a stress test in November and all was good. Should I be too concerned? I m afraid I ll collapse.

Hi,

Carvedilol and losartan itself are unlikely to cause any serious shortness of brethren. However, many conditions for which these drugs are used can cause shortness of breath.

Whatever is the reason, such things always need proper evaluation. So you should talk to your doctor and get evaluated. A negative stress test is not guaranteed but we should search for a cause which may be other than heart like low blood etc.
