Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor Hi! my age is 48 yrs I have gone into open heart surgery my heart valve Aortic and mitral was steno- sis on 1984 my valve get repaired and open. in the year 1988 again it was repaired. 1997 my Aortic valve replaced St.Judge valve i have got irregular heart beat than pace maker implanted on 2010 August. now i have breathlessness. if i walk or bend down i feel breathlessness and my heart beat fast if i bend down.................... what precaution should i take .
As mitral valve is repaired & aotic valve is replaced with a pacemaker implanted all these parameters indicate that your heart function is compromised and this would be the reason for your breathlessness
regarding precautions i would suggest you to limit your physical activities like heavy work and regularly use your medicines and regular followups with your doctor
Discuss this with your doctor and then decide. Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
