What Causes Brown Marks On Arm Pits?

I went to my doctor to have him check out each of my arm pits that have a big brown spot on each of them he said to get blood work done to make sure I m not diabetic. I m not overweight but I am in the sun a lot and my body is very tan. I wasn t expecting this to be so serious the last time I was tested for diabetes was 2012 and I was fine. Is diabetes the only possible reason for my armpits having brown marks on them? Or is it possible it could be something else?

thank you for query. As the morphology duration is not clear. With description given it may be fungal or bacterial infection. If asymptomatic may be bacterial if so use topical erythromycin gel and oral antibiotics like doxycycline. if itching likely fungus so treat with antifungal like clotrimazole lotion.consult doctor for diagnosis else get back to us with photos and details.
