What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge After Taking I Pill?
i had menstrual cycle on march 12, and had sex on 18th and 19th march both. on 18th march, at evening i took i-pill. and in morning of 19th march i again had sex but didnt took i-pill. after 10 days of it, i had brown discharge instead of period and lasts around 10-12 days. what does it means?
The emergency pill contains a high dose of progesterone. So it can cause mild Hormonal imbalance and could lead to brown discharge.
If the discharge doesn't stop in the next few days than pelvic examination is to be done for further workup.
It's advisable to rule out pregnancy by urine hcg card test if period delayed for a week (Emergency pill effective up to 95-97%, so if period delayed than a pregnancy has to be ruled out).
