What Causes Brown Vaginal Discharge And Stomach Pain During Pregnancy?
Hi I am 36 and 1/2 week pregnant and I have complete placenta previa. My c section is in 10 days. Today I found little bit brown discharge with any pain.. It was little bit I am worried whether is any pre indications of bleeding or something. My OB told me, if its red spotting or bleeding, then I need to go for emergancy. Otherwise I shud be okay. But I did not know what to do for brown dischange since its first time happen during my this pregnancy.. Please advice...thanks
Brown discharge is very light bleeding. If it goes away in 24 hours it is not dangerous but if it increases or if you develop any kind of cramping you should go to the hospital because severe bleeding can occur quickly with placenta previa. I encourage you to call your doctor and let them know what is going on and they may choose to send you to the hospital to be checked for contractions. If you experience any bleeding that is red, dark red or purple, or if you develop any pain, you should head to the hospital to be evaluated. I hope this answers your question and good luck with your pregnancy.
