Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. It is good that you are conscious, oriented and able to move around. There was no other symptom except dizziness which means your injury was mild head injury.
The dizziness can persist for few days to weeks after head injury. It will resolve on its own. But to fasten relief, you can follow few tips
: Bed rest
: Maintain hydration to avoid hypotension
: If you are having complaint of hypotension in past, you should get it checked. In case of hypotension, you should drink salt mixed water
: You can take tablet Beta-histine or Cinnarizine after proper prescription
: If you have stopped alcohol, it could be
alcohol withdrawal in case of chronic alcohol intake. For confirmation, you have to
consult Psychiatrist. He will evaluate you and give treatment after evaluation.
Hope it will help you. Still no relief, you can
consult doctor. He/she might advise CT head to rule out temporal
bone fracture or bleed in brain. Fracture is usually managed conservatively while bleed may require surgical evacuation.
Thanks. Take care.
