Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have a question that im too scared to go to the obgyn for. I have this bump on my mons pubic part (where the hair is below my stomach), it comes & goes but will appear in a different spot or the same spot, you cant see it but when you touch it feels like a medium size bump.. Plus another bump located right by top of it where i pee but its still just on top but its real small and smooth painless
The mons pubis is nothing but fatty tissue that covers the pubic bone. A few probable causes of lump in mons pubis are boils, cyst, ingrown hair, folliculitis, abscess, lymph node enlarged, or lipoma. Only with thorough clinical examination, and few necessary tests, we can arrive at a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Please do meet your OBGYN specialist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
