What Could Cause Swollen Mons Pubis?

okay.. umm hello. I would like to know what are the causes of a swollen mons pubis? and if I should get to a doctor right away or if its ok to wait it out (like a cold/flu)? It looks/feels like there s water in behind the skin? Doesn t hurt really just swollen and uncomfortable - maybe a tad itchy but not crazy..

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think this may be due to allergic reaction in skin along with a super-added infection of the mons pubis. I would advise you a course of levocetizine 10mg for 20 days. Apply locally, an anti-fungal ointment with steroids for 10 days. Do a urine routine investigation and a blood sugar test.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
