What Causes Bump On Top Of Wrist/hand After Injured It?
I injured my wrist a couple of months ago. It swelled the next day but I was able to move my fingers and bend my wrist down. To this day, my wrist is still hurting and today I noticed a bump on the top of wrist/hand. I wonder if it is a bone? When I turn my palm up my wrist pops. Should i have it x-rayed?
Presence of persistent pain in the wrist joint even months after initial injury always suggests that there is an underlying problem.
A preliminary xray is necessary to know the status and symmetry of the carpal bones in the wrist. MRI scan is needed to know the integrity of the intercarpal ligaments.
Consult an orthopedic surgeon for a definitive diagnosis and further management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
