What Causes Burning Eyes And Yellow Discharge After Rhinoplasty?

I have a question with regards to eye discharge. My son had a rhinoplasty the end of November 2010 and three days later started developing burning eyes and for the past two months, he has been having yellow dishcharge. In the morning they are closed shut with this discharge. He also suffers from seborrhea. He was finally given an antibiotic (Vigomax) for a week, but he still has the discharge. Please help, I am worried

retrograde infection from nose is possible. should take systemic antibiotic like ezythrocin 500 mg daily for 5days.clean the eye with sterile swab. apply ofloxacin eye drop .3%3times daily. neosporine eye oint ment may be applied at bed time. should improve now.
