What Causes Burning In Legs With SGPT Level 70 U/L ?
I am 50 yrs old, height 1.65 meter, weight 70 kg
and i am taking anti -lipid drug from last three years. in my blood test SGPT is 70 U/L and GGT 55 U/L I am feeling burning sensetization on my foot from last one month.i need your advise. thanks
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms may be related to an adverse effect of the anti lipid drug.
What kind of drug are you taking for lipids?
You should know that all these drugs ( including statins and fibrates), can cause muscular cell injury, causing muscular cramps and an increase of liver and muscular enzymes.
I recommend performing CPK plasma levels. If it is high, the above adverse effect would be confirmed.
In such a case, you should stop taking anti lipemiant drugs for a short term period (up to three months) and that restart therapy.
Usually these adverse effects do not occur again after a short term interruption of the drug intake.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
